Are you a voter? Why?
Current levels of voter turnout are unacceptable and disrespectful for those around the world who continue to fight and die for their right to free and fair elections.
Whether you like Canadian politics or not, we can certainly be proud of our democracy. And the only way it will become stronger is if we all participate within it.
In an effort to celebrate our democracy and inspire participation in the election, we have built our a special site to gather a list of reasons, submitted by Alberta's youngest citizens, to vote on Election Day.
We all have different reasons to vote, and none are better than the other. What matters is that we share those reasons and motivate others to get out and vote.
Our hope is that Student Vote schools will join us by submitting content through video, picture or text that will be shared with peers, families and communities across Alberta.
Although the best outcome would be more ballots cast on Election Day and a stronger democracy, we're also going to make this fun by throwing in some prizes for your effort.
